Dharma Talk, “Sexuality in Buddhism,” Part 1: The Third Buddhist Precept

Within the first five precepts, abstaining from sexual misconduct and practicing wholesome intimacy in relationships among lay people is the third precept. This talk emphasizes what the Buddha taught about sexual misconduct, sensual pleasure, and provides an overview of the Five Precepts. The reading is from Lama Yeshe’s text, “Introduction to Tantra: A Vision of Totality.” Recorded during the March 19, 2023, online community practice.
