Zen exercise of the day

For the next month, we are reflecting on πβπ π¦ π΄ππππππππ‘π , a set of guidelines that will absolutely change your life! These standards help get other people out of your head so you can live happily!
The book is by Don Miguel Ruiz and is based on ancient Toltec wisdom that guides us toward inner peace in a world where other people often screw everything up! lol!
The π ππππ ππ π«πππ¦ππ§π teaches us to π©π¬ π°π΄π·π¬πͺπͺπ¨π©π³π¬ πΎπ°π»π― ππΆπΌπΉ πΎπΆπΉπ«.
Not careful, not sincere, or direct, but Impeccable. At the highest level of standards, to be faultless… with your word.
Our words have great power. A choice expression can build someone up or tear them down. Gossip can cause missed opportunities and unnecessary suffering. Whereas a simple compliment can turn someone’s whole day around.
π·π π¦ππ’ π ππππ π¦ππ’π π€ππππ ππ’π‘ ππ πππ£π?
ππ ππ’π‘ ππ πππππ ππ πππ’π π‘πππ‘πππ?
One of these is way better than the other! I find that when I am angry, I do not say much. Because I know those words can wound, and I can never take them back. I would much rather be known for words of love. But it’s not always that cut and dry, is it?
This first agreement teaches us to say only what we mean, only what is truth and comes from a place of love. This requires patience and awareness driven by a high level of empathy.
πππ’π π€ππππ βππ£π πππππ‘ πππ€ππ. πΆβπππ π π‘βππ π€ππ πππ¦.

Right Speech
Sometimes we speak clumsily and create internal knots in others. Then we say, “I was just telling the truth.” It may be the truth, but if our way of speaking causes unnecessary suffering, it is not Right Speech. The truth must be presented in ways that others can accept. Words that damage or destroy are not Right Speech. Before you speak, understand the person you are speaking to. Consider each word carefully before you say anything, so that your speech is “Right” in both form and content.
