The journey of a 1000 miles begins with a single step

If we let the behavior of others dictate our conduct, we become willing victims of their moods and actions.

Freedom is the commitment to consistently do what is right, in accordance with our highest view.

If, despite our reasoned conclusion that universal loving kindness and radical compassion are beneficial, we react to others with anger and animosity, we have surrendered our freedom.

To be truly free, we must live our lives according to our own principles, and not as slaves to external circumstances.
